DIGITAL MARKETING TIP OF THE WEEK: Rolling Content Calendar 📅

The Rolling Content Calendar is a fortnightly plan of the content themes you'd like to share with our audience.
It means that you can craft all of your content up front efficiently and effectively. And because you've thought through all of the content up front (steps 1 -3 below), you've got your content sussed and are pretty much 50% of the way there before you even sit down to write your content.

We use this for our clients and it really works to streamline our approach to their content creation.

STEP 1:
Decide how many times a week you want to share a post with your audience (I recommend at least 3 or 4 times a week).

STEP 2:
Highlight the days you want to post the content: your analytics will show you what days and times your audience is most active. 
If they’re most active at night on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays for example, mark those days and times down - that's when you should be sharing your content to ensure maximum exposure.
The days you post will link back to the number of times a week you want to share content as highlighted in STEP 1 above.

STEP 3:
Write down all the topics that you think will help create a connection with your audience: what would they like to hear about? What would they find interesting? What would add value to their newsfeed? For example:
✔️Behind the scenes sneak peek of you making stock 
✔️A product showcase: can be a new product launch, a top-seller from last week, a product feature etc
✔️User-generated content: ie content your audience has shared of them using (and loving) your product 
✔️Customer Testimonials 
✔️A how-to: showing your audience an innovative / fun / clever way to use your product 

...and so on.

STEP 4:
Bring it all together into your rolling content calendar:
✔️Add your days to the calendar
✔️Add the times on each day you'll be sharing your content
✔️Add in your themes
✔️ Develop your hashtags so that they relate to your themes
✔️Get cracking on writing those captions 
✔️Add in your imagery / video (we can help with both!)

And just like that, you're done with your next 2 weeks worth of content! 

ONGOING:
For each fortnight rolling period, simply remove the imagery and captions you've used in the previous period and add in all new content. 
From here, all you need to do is copy + paste into your scheduling program (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc), schedule and you're done for the next 2 weeks!
