SHOUT & CO. Marketing Intern (Paid, Fixed Term)

The Role:
The Marketing Intern will assist our Production Assistant with content scheduling and creation as well as general marketing admin and day-to-day client requests. Their role is to provide marketing and admin support during our busiest time of the year.


The Company:
Shout & Co. was established in 2017 as a sole trader and has grown swiftly into a 4-person team. We do Digital Marketing and Content Creation including photography, videography and social media management. We are a hard-working and dedicated team (which includes Millie the English Bulldog, Duchess the Ragdoll Cat and 2 young kids and part time models) - and we’re growing quickly! Skills & Experience:
This full time, fixed term contract role is office-based at our HQ on the North Shore in Auckland, entailing the following tasks:

  • Scheduling content

  • Designing Stories & Reels

  • Prop & Ingredient Sourcing for shoots

  • Assisting our Production Assistant with admin

  • Assisting our Account Manager with client tasks

  • Some copywriting and content creation

  • General marketing & office admin

Successful candidates will have the following skills:

  • ESSENTIAL: Is a self-starter and doesn’t need to be micromanaged to stay on task

  • Pleasant phone and email manner

  • Good spelling and grammar

  • Organised, neat and systematic

  • Readiness to learn

  • Honest, reliable and dependable

  • Comfortable around kids, dogs and cats

  • Some experience working with Google Drive, Dropbox, Excel and Canva

  • Own car

Skills advantageous but not essential:

  • Some interest in marketing and social media

  • Marketing training: whether current or previous

Hours & Remuneration:

  • 9am - 4pm

  • Fixed-term contract until the 17th of December 2021

  • Salary: $20 per hour

Selection process:

  • Applications close 22 October 2021 and shortlisted candidates will be contacted by 25 October 2021.

  • Interviews to take place the following week.

  • While at Alert Level 3, interviews will be conducted remotely via Zoom.

  • To start as soon as we go to Level 2.

Candidate must have the necessary visas / legal right to live and work in New Zealand and have a valid drivers licence.
